José Luis Caballero
José Luis Caballero is a writer, scriptwriter and journalist specializing in international relations and secret services. He has been a novelist since 1996, when he published Como lágrimas en la lluvia (Like Tears in the Rain) after thirty years as a journalist. He is the author of several essays on topics ranging from the streets of Barcelona to World War II. He has written a dozen books, some of them spy novels such as El heredero del diablo (The Devil’s Heir), Nzere Kongo, La ruta de los contrabandistas (The Smugglers’ Route), El espía imperfecto (The Imperfect Spy) and El hombre de Tánger (The Man from Tangier); others are crime novels, such as Los peces solo flotan muertos (Fish Only Float Dead), Las cartas de Antioquía (The Letters from Antioch) and Ajuste de cuentas (Settling Scores). El proyecto Alpha (The Alpha Project) and La ciudad silenciosa (The Silent City) are his forays into science fiction.
